August 2015 Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review
GAH, it’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box reveal day! 😀 😀 😀 If this is the first time you’re hearing about this rad subscription service, it’s a monthly beauty box ($19.95/month with free shipping) that delivers 4-7 vegan and cruelty-free items (ranging from unique cosmetics to luxurious skincare) right to your doorstep. It’s the easiest way to discover cruelty-free brands without committing to full-size products or prices. You can sign up for this beauty box here. You can also peep my past Vegan Cuts Beauty Box reviews here.
August’s Vegan Cuts Beauty Box included 5 vegan goodies (3 full-size):
Gleam by Melanie Mills Lip Gloss in “Uncontrollable”* – Luh-la-la-la LOVE this purpley-pink color (and it’s highly pigmented, too)!! And DOOD, this lippy is valued at $24, so this box has already paid for itself and then some—everything else is like icing on the cake! This lip gloss is all-natural and has skin lovin’ ingredients like Vitamin E, jojoba oil and aloe vera.
GlamNatural Hydrating Face Cream* – I already ♥ this company for their amazing all-natural makeup. This was my first time trying their skincare, and their face cream is spot on. It contains all the good stuff that I would use in say, a DIY blend (which I’m all about!) such as shea butter, jojoba oil, almond oil, apricot kernal oil, pomegranate oil, avocado oil. It’s pure, simple, and effective.
“Hello” Harvey Prince Perfume Spray – Eeps, I think my perfume leaked in the mail because it was half full and my box smelled über perfumey when I opened it. That’s okay, though, because I have another one of these from a different beauty box. Btw, Vegan Cuts has amaaaazing customer service, so if you ever have an item with an issue, def reach out to them and they will make everything better. 🙂 I’ve had lots of peeps contact me asking for vegan perfume suggestions that are less essential oil-y and more like conventional fragrances. Harvey Prince is one of the brands I recommend for this!
“Hello” has notes of Meyer Lemon, White Grapefruit, Satsuma Mandarin, Summer Forsythia, Pink Plumeria, Wild Verbena, Tahitian Vanilla, and Sensual Musk. It’s a happy, refreshing scent.
One Love Organics Healthy Locks Dry Shampoo Powder – I’ve yet to meet a dry shampoo I didn’t like. This one works great (has a unique blend of Georgia Kaolin Clay, hyularonic acid, and bamboo extract), and I love the simple and elegant packaging – great travel size, too!
Kaeng Rang Detoxfoliant Body Scrub* – This is not my first time givin’ this bad boy a spin… loved it back in the day, and I love it still! Peep these simple & kickass ingredients: Himalayan Pink Salt, Dead Sea Salt, Organic Virgin Shea Butter, Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Vanilla Absolute Essential Oil.
